About Our Company
MEIKI & COMPANY, LTD. has built its growth around high-precision mold manufacturing and, over time, has made plastic injection molding a strategic complement. While its historical base is in Japan and in producing molds for the electronics and automotive industries, Mexico becomes a key point in its global expansion.
The company arrives in Mexico in 1996, when it builds a plant in Tijuana and begins operations. This move marks MEIKI’s commitment to manufacturing closer to the North American market and serving international customers with more competitive lead times and costs. Two years later, in 1998, MEIKI confirms the country’s importance by opening its second plant in Mexico, strengthening regional capacity and turning Tijuana into one of its main hubs outside Asia.
In parallel, MEIKI does more than manufacture molds: starting in 1986 it set up a molding facility for trial and production, integrating plastic injection molding into its value chain. This allows the company to validate designs, optimize processes, and provide more complete solutions: mold design + mold manufacturing + trial molding and injection production. With that integration, Mexico serves as a natural extension for producing molded components—especially for electronics and automotive—using molds developed under MEIKI’s Japanese ultra-precision standards.
In short, Mexico represents MEIKI’s platform for the Americas, launched with the Tijuana plant; and plastic injection molding completes its offering, enabling the company not only to sell molds but also to ensure the quality and performance of the final molded product.
